Anna DeMers & Kevin G Becker Collaborate with Voci Dance Artistic Director Genevieve Bernard & Dancers for Simplex/Complex a co-production with DexDance from NYC. This new piece is a fun play on technology, boredom and what happens when a group of people are left to their own accord! It involves projection design by Anna, exciting choreography created by Genevieve Bernard, Anna & dancers, along with original music by Kevin!

Voci & NY’s DeXdance collaborate for the Orlando Fringe Festival ORLANDO, FL (March 30, 2009)- Nine year Fringe veteran, Voci Dance is collaborating with two year Fringe veteran, NY based DeXdance Company during the Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival. The show Simplex/Complex is an edgy, intelligent adventure in contemporary dance theatre examining the themes of simplicity and complexity, past and future, and nature and technology.
Voted “Best Dance Troupe” in the 2008 Orlando Weekly’s Reader Poll, Voci Dance has been entertaining Central Florida audiences with humorous, intelligent, and entertaining dance theatre for 9 years. “Voci, Orlando's senior contemporary dance company, always has been ready to step out on a limb. Whether leaping off mini trampolines in mid-dance, working with puppets or moving to spoken word, Voci's dancers have given audiences reason to stretch their definition of dance.” (Diane Hubbard Burns/Orlando Sentinel Nov. 08) Voci is also known for collaborating with national as well as local artists, such as NY’s DeXdance.

Anna DeMers contributed Feedback On An 8 Count in collaboration with Voci Dance in this exciting event as a part of United Arts Artsfest 2009 a week long free arts festival.
Voci Dance presents a kinesthetic art experience blending modern dance, technology, music, and fashion at the Big Orange Studio space in Orlando's ViMi district. Voci dancers will wear designs by fashion designer Consuelo Bellini who is best known locally for her designs in the Valencia Community College commercials. (www.conseulobellini.com) Audience members should come ready to view dance, mingle and talk, and enjoy cocktails in the large warehouse space.
